What is PILAS?
PILAS is the postgraduate affiliate of the Society for Latin American Studies (SLAS).
As an organisation run by and for postgraduate students, PILAS aims to
foster interaction among postgraduates working in the field of Latin American
Studies at institutions of higher education throughout the United Kingdom,
as well as those in Europe and the Americas.

Meet the new PILAS Committee
PILAS has a new Committee for 2008/2009! This year’s committee is based at the University of Cambridge, and was formed out of the postgraduate workshop at the 2008 SLAS Conference in Liverpool. Currently, we are working towards organising the 2009 PILAS Conference and towards establishing this new PILAS website.
