PILAS JISCMail account
PILAS has an account on the JISCMail mailing list!
JISCMail is the ‘National Academic Mailing List Service’, which is designed specifically to facilitate communication and collaboration within the academic community.

This account was established in the initial stages of PILAS, way back in the 1990s. However, it fell off the radar and remained inactive for a number of years. That is, until JISCMail administrators contacted PILAS in 2009, informing us of the account’s existence. Due to its immense potential as a communication tool for PILAS members, we are now reviving PILAS on JISCMail!
JISCMail allows PILAS members to post information which would be of interest to fellow Latin-Americanist postgraduates. As such, please use the PILAS JISCMail account to announce relevant events, seminars, training workshops, conferences, grant opportunities, calls for papers, and publications – anything which would be useful for UK postgraduates in the field of Latin American Studies.
Once the Regional Reps are in place, the JISCMail account will be the primary site for distributing information about their regional events and announcements.
We encourage all PILAS members to sign-up and use this fantastic resource!
